Athletics South Australia (ASA)

Athletics SA, affiliated to Athletics Australia, is a community focussed organisation offering athletics competitions and services for athletes of a variety of ages and abilities. ASA has a comprehensive summer calendar of track and field competition and a winter program of road running, cross country and race walking events. Participants must be registered with one of ASA's member clubs to compete at a majority of events, but entries to a number of events, particularly in the winter program, are open to non-members.

Little Athletics South Australia (LASA)

Little Athletics is a uniquely Australian sport for children aged 3-17 years. As the name suggests, it is based upon the sport of athletics (track and field) and the events are specially modified to suit the ages and abilities of children. A wide range of running, jumping, throwing and walking events is conducted at weekly meets through out the summer at Little Athletics Centres across the state. Inter-centre events and championships are held regionally and at Santos Stadium and a cross country program is run through the winter months. A dual registration agreement exists between LASA and ASA to facilitate the transition from Little Aths to senior competition.

Orienteering South Australia (OSA)

Orienteering South Australia is the peak body managing orienteering in South Australia. Affiliated with Orienteering Australia, OSA's objectives are to encourage, promote and coordinate the sport of orienteering in South Ausralia. OSA organises year-round events open to members of OSA clubs and non-members alike.

South Australian Athletic League (SAAL)

The South Australian Athletic League runs a series of track race meets where athletes compete from handicap starting marks, depending upon their ability. The winner of each event receives a sash and prizemoney is presented to the winner and placegetters. The highlight of the SAAL racing season is the Bay Sheffield Carnival held at Colley Reserve, Glenelg between Christmas and New Year.

South Australian Masters Athletics (SAMA)

Founded in 1971, SAMA provides an ongoing competition program for athletes of all abilities, aged 30 years and above. The summer track and field program is held at Santos Stadium every Wednesday evening and the winter running and walking program is held on a Saturday afternoon at various locations in and around Adelaide.

South Australian Race Walking Club (SARWC)

Affiliated to Athletics SA, the SARWC operates a winter race walking program open to all age groups and abilities. Meets are usually held within Adelaide's South Parklands on a Saturday afternoon.

South Australian Road Runners Club (SARRC)

South Australian Road Runners Club (SARRC) logo

SARRC is the largest running club in South Australia and exists to promote and encourage recreational running and walking in SA. SARRC is one of the key race organisers within the state and, as well as road running, also has a flourishing trail running group.

South Australian Rogaining Association (SARA)

SARA oversees rogaining (the sport of long distance cross-country navigation) in South Australia and organises a number of events across the state.

Triathlon South Australia (TriSA)

TriSA is the official state sporting organisation responsible for the management and delivery of the sports of triathlon, duathlon, aquathlon and multisport within South Australia.

SSSSA works in consultation with SAPSASA to conduct school sport programs from R-12 DECD, Catholic and Independent schools.

SAPSASA works in consultation with SSSSA to conduct school sport programs from R-12 DECD, Catholic and Independent schools.

South Australian Catholic Primary School Sports Association (SACPSSA)

SACPSSA organises a number of sporting carnivals and events for children attending Catholic primary schools across the state.
